With the rapid growth of renewable energy and the advancement of net-zero carbon reduction goals, the power grids in the Asia-Pacific region are facing dual challenges of digital upgrading and stable grid operation. Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) serves as the pioneer of grid intelligence and digitalization, enabling real-time electricity monitoring and smart management, and becoming a core technology supporting the next-generation power grid. Through AMI, utilities can more accurately understand electricity usage, promote demand response and time-of-use pricing strategies, improve overall energy efficiency and customer engagement, while accelerating the integration of renewable energy and energy storage.
This APEC sponsored workshop, focus on the successful strategies and practical experiences of AMI deployment across APEC member economies. The content covers:
